“Everyone I talk to wants me to express appreciation for your inspiring presentation. Your in-depth knowledge of business etiquette and your ability to put a modern twist on the topic produced one of the most memorable lunch and learns in our office’s history. The business etiquette course is highly recommended to firms who desire confident team members, stronger professional connections, and encouraged their team members to their full potential.” Katheryn, Nejmark Architect and RH Design
“It was an absolute JOY to meet with you today and, under your leadership and guidance, to rediscover my authentic self. My virtual lesson was genuinely fantastic in every way. Your ability to shine the spotlight on my gifts and talents and to help me to express myself in a way that confirms my best self is still within me, is nothing short of powerful and miraculous. As Anne Shirley said in Anne of Avonlea, “I feel like I’ve been given a gift and I don’t exactly know what to do with it,” except I know EXACTLY what to do with the gift you’ve given me. You are a treasure and a gift, truly.” ~Private Client

“A huge shoutout to Mariah Grumet, founder of Old Soul Etiquette for her presentation that was not only informative but also captivating. Her infectious energy and abundance of expertise led to the great success of the evening. Mariah has inspired us all to embrace the art of etiquette in both our personal and professional lives.” -Concordia University Student
“My company participated in four professional development training sessions with Mariah. While planning the sessions, Mariah went above and beyond to understand our goals for our business, our employees, and our relationships with our clients. These sessions were just what our team needed to help us refocus and re-energize our professional presence after a year or two of a more “Covid-casual” environment. The lessons and information taught by Mariah throughout the sessions were easy to incorporate into our daily business practices and immediate improvements followed. Throughout the sessions, Mariah illustrated that the foundations of good manners and traditional business practices do not equate to coldness. Mariah equipped us with tools to be more confident and comfortable in our interactions with and with that reassurance came a more natural warmth across our employees.” -Elwood & Goetz Wealth Advisory Group
“Mariah's presentation for our school faculty was incredibly interesting, helpful, and well-received. Even the more reluctant attendees came forward to ask follow-up questions during Q and A time which is a real sign of value. Afterwards, employees stayed past their contract hours to discuss ways we can better incorporate her ideas and guidelines moving forward. One employee took copious notes and shared with the staff the next day. Another employee remarked how he is interested in signing his daughter up for a class! I think it was very helpful to hear about manners in a business setting - now we can move forward using these as our expectations for communication and interactions with each other and our clients (students and parents) so that we can provide a better customer experience, and, having Mariah present the information makes it less like a boss chastising employees for their manners and much more palatable for the receivers. I think that everyone can use a reminder of polite habits we may have forgotten, and even our "more polite" employees learned some new tricks from the presentation. I would definitely recommend you invite Mariah to your company to offer etiquette support!”
Laurel Creek Country Club was delighted to offer Ms. Mariah’s Old Soul Etiquette courses to the children of our members. We weren’t sure how the members would react to this class, but the response was overwhelming! So much in fact that we had to add two additional dates just to accommodate those who were on the wait list. We offered the “Intro to Good Manners” for children ages 6 to 11 and “A Teenage Girls Guide to Confidence” for girls 12-17. Mariah kept the younger kids active by going on a good manners treasure hunt which made the class fun and interactive. Her course for the teens touched on topics like building confidence, first impressions, bullying and social media manners which kept the girls interested and engaged. Our members were thankful to have these courses available for their children and we look forward to hosting more Old Soul Etiquette classes in the future” -Laurel Creek Country Club
Mariah's warm guidance and thoughtful preparation made our bridal etiquette consulting session an absolute delight. She expertly walked through all of the topics we had requested to cover in perfect detail. We actually met with Mariah only one week before our wedding to get her well-informed perspective on several last minute decisions, such as day-of timeline flows, procession order, toast etiquette, bride and groom conversation and dining etiquette, seating arrangements, thank you cards, etc. Her helpful answers to our specific etiquette questions allowed us to make our remaining wedding decisions with ease and confidence. We highly recommend Old Soul Etiquette's bridal consulting for any stage in the wedding planning process, especially if you need help making those multitude of little decisions that crop up towards the very end of your planning! Thank you, Mariah! - K. Miles
“I attended Mariah’s virtual course on the Art of Small Talk and found it very helpful! I needed to brush up on this area after all the social distancing of the last few years. The course was rich with content including helpful suggestions for preparing for small talk situations; it also included tips on body language and other practical considerations for small group interactions. I highly recommend this course.” Heidi J.
“Mariah is top notch in her knowledge of all things etiquette. I especially love the recommendations she gives for conversation starters while entertaining. I had a style session with Mariah, and again, her knowledge and insight was so helpful. Mariah is a bright light in our world. Combining her knowledge, her enthusiasm, and her inner joy, I would highly recommend her classes for any age. You won’t be disappointed!” Carla N.
“The evening was led by the esteemed Mariah Grumet, a highly accomplished young entrepreneur, author, professional business etiquette instructor, and founder of Old Soul Etiquette. Meeting Mariah and absorbing her wealth of knowledge was an honor. Her interactive coaching style was both entertaining and enriching, offering invaluable tips for navigating professional settings with poise.” ~ Concordia University Student
“I had the pleasure of taking a group etiquette class as well as a 1:1 class with Mariah. Both classes gave me tools that I continue to use (and reflect) on today. Every time I sit down at a restaurant I always lay my napkin a certain way - and think of Mariah! But what I love about her classes is that yes, it’s about etiquette but it transcends the art of how to put your napkin down (although I love that tip)…it’s ALL. ABOUT. KINDNESS. And putting your best self forward so you can share that light with the world. I took a polished speaking class with Mariah and I was a bit nervous but she totally made me feel comfortable and her feedback was shared in a supportive way. OSE and the community are simply the best. Thank you, Mariah, for spreading your special light. I’ve gotten so much out of your OSE!” -Keveney B.
“She is amazing! Super professional and personable. I am definitely going back to her for additional sessions. Thank you Mariah you are truly a super star. Helped gain so much confidence and provided me with amazing tips.” -Nancy (Private Business Etiquette Training)
"Ms. Mariah's etiquette course for children is a valuable program/tool to enrich and prepare your child(ren) not only for their current day-to-day lives, but for their future. We have instilled in our son from an early age the importance of kindness as well as the correlation between kindness and manners. We wanted to aid in refining his manners and set about searching for an instructor and thankfully found Ms. Grumet. Our son adored his first etiquette course which touched on a breadth of important topics includig introductions and table manners. He is now ready to showcase his new set of skills at his birthday dinner and "can't wait to attend another class with Ms. Mariah!" - Kim B.
“Not only are you very knowledgeable in the subject of etiquette but you are a truly gifted instructor and leader. As I was listening, I kept thinking to myself how practical and important the teachings were, how you kept it interactive and the kids engaged, you gave them an opportunity when they wanted to be heard but also gave them permission to be quiet if that felt right, it was perfect. You were kind and welcoming but remained in a position of leadership guiding them through the material, much like their beloved elementary school teachers they have. You are a natural! I thought the course was also the right amount of time for them to be engaged but also ending the session before they lost interest.” - Laura Y.
“Mariah is so very charming and professional. We took a tween etiquette class for my son. She not only graciously accommodated a scheduling error(our fault) but held a wonderful online session. He still remembers the lesson tips. The world needs more kindness and manners and her advice could help anyone and everyone incorporate grace and manners daily in small and approachable yet modern ways.” Adeline L.
